Errol Starr, has been a Concert Singer Songwriter, composer for over 40 years. Errol Starr’s eclectic musical taste is a natural evolution of his rich and varied background. With the island rhythms of his native Jamaica as his roots, Errol’s first band was a reggae/R&B band. Living in England and then Canada exposed him to the best of British and North American Pop, Rock, Blues and R&B artists.
Errol’s Musical releases include “Temple of Love” in 1985, “From The Inside Out” in 1994, “I’ll Learn To Fly” in 1997 and the much talked about CD series “Attune Your Spirit” in 1998. Errol’s Temple of Love album and accompanying videos for A&M Canada produced 3 hit singles including “Angel. He is a Juno Award winner, recipient of the Socan Song Writer of the Year award, Q107 Toronto Music Award winner and Canadian Black Music Award winner & numerous Ace Advertising Awards for engineering a number of commercials for radio & television broadcast.
Errol has recorded & produced artists in multiple genres of music for the past 40 years. From Reggae, Dance/Urban, Rock, Country, Kirtan and Folk music to recording spoken word projects like NY Time Best selling Author Dan Millman. Meditation music for healing and Massage, Some artists include Robbie Anderman, Melissa McClelland, Rick Reimer, Herbie Fabulus and many others. In 2009 Errol began working with the premier Indigenous Powwow Music Label “Tribal Spirit Music” as chief recording engineer and associate producer for all of their powwow CD releases. Which included a multiple CDs from Powwow groups like the Black Bear, Eastern Eagle, Chippewa Travelers, Northern voice, and indigenous artists like Aqua and Juno nominated Bryden Gwiss Kiwenzie . Tribal Spirit Music is the prime source providing key remix music samples for the Juno Award winning EDM Indigenous Music Group “A Tribe Called Red”. Errol has recently stepped back into the limelight and on the big stage by joining the R&B Blues Band “Long Black Cadillacs” which has now become “T R I B Z” with Earl Johnson lead guitar player from legendary rock band Moxy.
Earl first toured the U.S. and Canada in the early 70’s with King Biscuit Boy for 3 Years. Doing dates with Bob Seeger, Mitch Ryder and Brownsville Station were very eye opening for an 18 year old. He later worked in Rita Chiarelli’s band for 2 years in the early 90’s.
Johnson is a renowned guitarist and founding member of the legendary Canadian rock band “Moxy”. Earl brings an immense amount of talent and experience to the band having also toured in the past with AC DC, Black Sabbath, & Santana to name a few.
In 2021 with Don Hill’s assistance Earl received his Canadian Indian Status Card. His father pure Native, Earl is now a proud member of the Tuscarora Six Nations in Ohsweken Ontario .
Born and raised on the Mohawk Six Nations Indian Reserve in Ontario. Influences are The Beatles, Allman Brothers Band, BlackBerry Smoke, and ZZ Top.
Recorded an d toured with Juno winner Murray Porter and shared the stage with Buffie St. Marie, Blue Rodeo, Big Sugar, and Don Williams.
More recently with the cast of “Rumble! Indians who rocked the world.” The cast included Kenny Lee Lewis (Steve Miller Band), Rob Lamothe (Riverdogs), Charly Lowry (American Idol) and Juno winner Derek Miller.
Dave has more than 40 years experience playing percussion on a professional level in various genres including Rock, R&B, Jazz, and Celtic.
He has played with many well-known recording projects and artists including the Mike Almas Band, Earl Johnson Band (formally known as Moxy), Jesse O’Brian of The Colin James Band, Brian Griffith (one of Hamilton’s most respected guitarists),
